Obvious things first: I tweaked the appearance of my profile page a bit. What do you think? (I haven't been stroked for some time

)
Second thing: Thanks to everyone who faved or commented on my latest DD

And third: Last Saturday ~
adiar and me once again went to the Ao Noi Resort on Koh Kood in order to take some pictures for our Thai wedding ceremony on February 21st (now I just revealed another great news

). The trip was scheduled to take only 3 days and 2 nights, so we took a lot of nice couple pics with our Canon camera (40D) on Saturday and Sunday (with the Sony camera (A-100) I took some infrared shots, as you can see in my gallery

). On Sunday we went to the beach and dived for some time, and when we came back our Canon camera and small Sony camera (P-200) were stolen! We were quite shocked as you can imagine, given the fact that the cameras could be replaced but the images were priceless... We contacted the reception and the owner of the resort made some calls to other resorts and to the police. It turned out that the guy who stole our camera was previously kicked out from another resort and walking around the island, drunk. Admitting that their staff should have paid more attention, the owner of the resort took full responsibility and offered us free accommodation and food until the case was solved (which was an incredibly kind gesture). Another lucky thing was that the police found out that the guy wanted to sleep at a temple some days ago, which the monk allowed after he was given a copy of the guy's ID. So we had the personal data including the photo of the criminal. It took 24 hours to catch the guy, who tried to escape by running through the forest. Apart from the policemen several volunteers from some villages took part in the hunt. It seemed they enjoyed the fact that there was some action because afterward they said that there had not been a crime for 6 years, and everyone was wearing their army clothes (just like little boys playing soldier in the forest

). They were sorry that something like that happened and said we shouldn't think bad about the island because after all it was an outsider who invaded the peaceful community on the island. After the guy got caught we received the cameras yesterday evening and checked if they still worked. Guess what--the thief had even taken videos and photos of himself (he seemed to be a little bit retarded anyway). If that's not proof enough

However, the Canon seems to be broken so we gotta take it to the store later (we still have warranty). After testifying and signing a paper that we got our stuff back we could leave the island today in the morning, 2 days later than expected lol. So here we are, back again with a bag full of photos. The best shots will be uploaded in the next couple of days. Hope you enjoy them

So if you're ever planning to stay on an island in Thailand, you should stay at the
Ao Noi resort, where you'll be looked after like nowhere else

Unfortunate that you had to be worried about them while they were still tracking the guy down though.
