12 Old-School Photo Tutorials from the 70s and 80s
In the days before the Internet, newspapers were a good source for photography tips and tutorials. Although the following articles were written in the decades of film photography they are still helpful in the digital age because they focus on old-school aspects every photographer has to know:
Photography Tips/Lakeland Ledger, 22 July 1979Available Light Photography/The Montreal Gazette, 22 Dec 1979Cold Weather Best for Photography/Harlan Daily Enterprise, 27 Jan 1981Pro Gives Advice on Winter Photography/The Milwaukee Sentinel, 8 Jan 1981Wedding Photography Tips/Harlan Daily Enterprise, 18 Feb 1981An Editorial about Ansel Adams/Tri City Hera
Daily Deviation
My deviation "Home for the Elderly" http://nxxos.deviantart.com/art/Home-for-the-Elderly-125441143 having been featured as a DD yesterday makes me speechless (as you can see from this short journal entry XD). Thanks to everyone who faved and commented on the photo so far and special thanks to billwoodford (https://www.deviantart.com/billwoodford) for suggesting and Timothy-Sim (https://www.deviantart.com/timothy-sim) for choosing it as a DD. I'm glad I could move some hearts and maybe even change some minds...
The main credit, however, goes to the amazing people at Shadowness http://www.shadowness.com because they're the ones giving me inspiration and making me grow as an artist :)
And the Winners Are...
Thanks to everyone who was looking out for the 100,000th pageview. This time we have two winners, ShanCus92 (https://www.deviantart.com/shancus92) and teogbernal (https://www.deviantart.com/teogbernal), who will be featured in a dedicated box for 100 days :D
Congratulations!
Count-up to 100,000!
You know the game: Catch my 100,000th pageview and receive a massive 100-day feature :D
Simply send me the screenshot to win.

hm..
The question is, if I need an IR-Filter to get the image...
A negative of your first (colour!) pictures has similar attitudes like the white trees of an IR...
With some more colour adjustments it would work very similar
Maybe Just use an polarizing filter zu change the structure of the sky.
Tell me, if I'm talking rubbish
And thanks for this tutorial
